So today I went to Boots and got a little carried away. As usual I completely forgot the things I went in for, yet I still left with a bag full of goodies.
First off, Hair care! I have very heavy thick hair so I really struggle to get volume at the roots. I don't like to backcomb so I thought I would give these VO5 products a go. The first one I picked up is the Plump it up Amplifying Blow Dry Lotion. I also picked up the Give me texture instant oomph powder and the Give me texture dry texturising spray. I love the design of the VO5 packaging!
For Skincare, I picked up one of the Vaseline Spray and Go body moisturisers. I have been wanting to try these for a while because I tend to be very lazy when it comes to moisturising my body and this makes the whole process a lot quicker and easier. I picked up the one in Aloe Fresh.
Now onto make-up. From Collection I really wanted to try their Blush and Highlight Cream duo. I picked this up in the shade Strawberries and Cream. There was also a two for £5 offer on their mascaras and eyeliners so I picked up one of each. I chose the Super Size Fat Lash Mascara and the Extreme 24 Hour Felt Tip Liner, both in 01 Black.
From Soap and Glory I got the Lid Stuff quad in What's Nude. I was particularly drawn to this pallet because of the 3 Matte Shades, perfect for an everyday neutral look. I also bought the One Heck of a Blot pressed powder in transparent. There is only one person to blame for this purchase and that's the lovely Estee from Essie Button, I will link her blog at the end, please check her out if you haven't already.
Only one product from Revlon and that is this Revlon Photoready Eye shadow pallet in 505 Impressionist. This beautiful pallet includes two satin shades, two shimmers and one glitter. This is my favourite sort of eye shadow look, neutral but with just enough sparkle.
From Rimmel I wanted to try the new Kate Scandal Eyes Mascara. I got this in 004 Eye Rock Jet Black. I also picked up the Exaggerate Undercover Shadow Primer.
Lastly, from Maybelline I picked up the Superstay Better Skin foundation and Concealer. I have not really had much luck with Maybelline foundations in the past but thought I would give this one ago. I also picked up the Superstay 14 hour lipstick in 430 Stay with me Coral. This is by far my favourite purchase of the day. The colour is gorgeous and the photo really doesn't do it justice. It smells really good too!
If you would like a review on any of the above products just let me know in the comments.
As promised, here's the link to Estee's blog, let her know I sent you!
