August Favourties

August favourites time already. Where has the month gone?!

Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge - I have never tried the iconic beauty blender so thought I would give this ago and I automatically fell in love with it.  I have been using it damp with my Maybelline Better Skin foundation. This combination gives such an even satin like finish and covers just the right amount for my skin.  I also find that using the sponge to apply my foundation stops the foundation from sinking into and emphasising my pores.
Maybelline Colour Tattoo in Permanent Taupe – I have been using this to line my eyes as I'm not a fan of a harsh black line around my eyes so I find this the perfect, more subtle colour.  It is very long wearing as the name suggests and easy to blend.
Hat - Nic and I took a day trip to our neighbouring island Herm to make the most of the sunshine.  When having a mooch around the gift shop I found this hat which I immediately fell in love with.  Although it’s made out of paper it has a very realistic straw look with a black ribbon around it and a little bow. It protects my head from the sun and my hair from not getting too windswept.  I just love it!
Sunglasses - I also picked up some new sunglasses this month. They are by the brand Osiris, which I admit, I had never heard of before.  I was drawn to these because of the unique shape. They also drew my attention because the inside are a magenta colour, although one thing I didn’t take into consideration is when the sun is shining in photos, like the one above, it glows and looks like I have purple eyebrows!
Watch - My Top TV Show of the month would have to go to Prison Break which myself and Nic are both still loving!  We are on season three, however my top film and also top watch has to go to the new Marvel film, Guardians of the Galaxy.  Myself and Nic went to watch this with a few friends on the 2nd August and even though I knew it was going to be good because it’s a Marvel film I was still unsure whether it would meet my expectations, which after the last few releases from marvel, were pretty high.  But Oh my! It certainly did! I was fantastic, very funny.   It’s defiantly more child friendly than some of the other Marvel films. I would defiantly recommend that you go and check this film out if you haven't already.  Also the sound track is amazing, especially if your into 80's music!
Photograph - I thought this month I would share with you my favourite photo, that being this beautiful photograph of Nic with my gorgeous 2 year old niece. This has been my phone wallpaper all month because it so darn cute!
Event - On the 7 August my amazing friend Heidi got married and I was lucky enough to be asked to be one of her bridesmaids and I was honoured to be part of their special day. It was a lovely day for a lovely couple.  One thing I wanted to mention was the photography.  All the photography for the day was done by Caleb at Evoke photography. (http://www.evokeweddings.co.uk/) During the dance he set up a photo booth which was a great way to capture the spirit of the evening.  Here are a couple of my favourites.
