I don't think I can really call this a baking post as technically there is no actual baking involved. We have a lot of chocolate in our flat and sometimes it gets a bit boring, so I thought I would mix it up, literally. This is a quick and easy little thing you can do just to refresh your chocolate stash. I have just used whatever we had in the cupboards, however you can add whatever you like. I would have liked to have added some raisins or dried fruit but didn't have any.
I started off by melting the chocolate in a bowl over a pan of boiling water, making sure the water doesn't touch the bottom of the bowl as this will burn the chocolate. I used mostly Cadburys dairy milk with a few other odd bits.
While this was melting I got together my other ingredients. I chose mini marshmallows, smarties and fudge pieces. I crushed my smarties using the back of a spoon and put this to one side.
Once all the chocolate had melted I took it off the heat and start adding the smarties. When I added the marshmallows the chocolate was still quite warm so they turned all gooey and stringy but I quite liked this. Once I had added all the ingredients and given it all a good stir, I added it all to a lined baking tray. I then took a knife and scored some lines though the mixture to make it easier to break when it had cooled. Then I popped it in the fridge for a couple of hours to set.
Once fully cooled I removed from the fridge, and broke into small pieces to serve. I think these would be great for a party treat!
If you make these let me know what ingredients you use.
